Aluminum tube chlorine purification. In the past, the active gas chlorine was used as the purifying agent. During this process, when the aluminum tube introduced chlorine into the aluminum liquid, many abnormally small AlCl3 and bubbles were generated, which were fully mixed in the aluminum liquid. Hydrogen, aluminum tube and some mechanical inclusions dissolved in aluminum liquid will be adsorbed on AlCl3 bubbles and discharged as AlCl3 bubbles rise to the surface of aluminum tube.

When chlorine gas is introduced, some elements that are more negative than aluminum can be chlorinated. Aluminum tubes, such as calcium, sodium, magnesium, will generate corresponding chlorides due to the introduction of chlorine gas, and the aluminum tubes can be separated. Therefore, chlorination is a very useful method for purifying primary aluminum.

Aluminum tube nitrogen purification method. This method uses aluminum oxide tube as the filter medium. N2 directly passes through the aluminum liquid, and the aluminum tube liquid is successively sent to the purification furnace, passes through the aluminum oxide ball filter layer, and is washed by nitrogen. Therefore, non-metallic inclusions and dissolved hydrogen in the aluminum liquid can be removed, and then the aluminum tube can make fine nitrogen bubbles uniformly distributed in the treated aluminum liquid to achieve purification effect.
